Role summary

Redstone Orthodontics seeks a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join their team, focusing on outstanding patient care and creating confident smiles. The role involves assisting the orthodontist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, taking orthodontic records, educating patients, and maintaining infection control standards. The ideal candidate is motivated, compassionate, and possesses strong communication and multitasking skills, with a team-oriented mindset. Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience is preferred.

Schedule: 2 days per week 7:45 AM - 5 PM We have a checkered schedule. One week we are open Mon & Wed, then following week Tues & Thurs. Etc. Days alternate weekly!

Experience & Key Responsibilities:

Assist the orthodontist during procedures including bonding, adjustments, and appliance placement.

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.

Take orthodontic records such as impressions, photos, and radiographs.

Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations.

Maintain infection control standards and ensure operatories are clean and organized.

Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.

Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.
