Steadfast Health is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to provide low-barrier, high-quality substance use disorder (SUD) care. Leveraging lived experience and a commitment to recovery, the Peer Support Specialist will be an integral part of the treatment team, offering evidence-based support, modeling self-directed change, and empowering patients. Responsibilities include facilitating peer support groups, developing wellness and harm reduction plans, connecting clients with resources, and advocating within various systems. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of sustained recovery and active Peer Specialist certification, with a willingness to obtain national certification. This position offers a stable, weekday schedule with comprehensive benefits and a supportive culture.
Steadfast Health was founded to establish a new standard of substance use disorder (SUD) care. Recognizing that traditional treatment methods often fall short of reaching patients when they’re most in need, Steadfast is relentlessly focused on making low-barrier, high quality care accessible to all. We know that the journey to recovery is unique for every individual, and our patient-centered approach ensures we meet patients where they are, providing evidence-based therapies with unwavering support in a compassionate environment that fosters healing and growth.
Role
At Steadfast Health, lived experience is at the center of our care model. As a Peer Support Specialist, your story, insight, and hard-earned wisdom are recognized as core expertise, not an afterthought. You are an equal and trusted member of the treatment team, shaping care in ways only someone who has been there can.
We believe you can’t pour from an empty cup. That’s why we offer reliable schedules, group supervision, peer mentorship, and ongoing training. You can keep growing while protecting your own recovery. For outreach work, we cover mileage and travel time, and we intentionally provide on-the-clock time for you to continue investing in your own recovery.
At Steadfast, your lived experience is not something to leave at the door, it’s your strength.
