Role summary

Stratolaunch is seeking a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2027 in Mojave, CA. This internship offers hands-on experience in Talent Management, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition through rotational assignments and a team project. Responsibilities include supporting HR programs, conducting market research, assisting with recruitment processes, analyzing data, and maintaining confidential records. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in HR or a related field, possesses strong organizational and analytical skills, and is proficient in Microsoft Office. Prior HR internship or relevant experience is preferred. This paid internship provides relocation assistance and living accommodations.

Stratolaunch accelerates the development of next-generation aerospace and defense technologies through reusable hypersonic flight testing. Our autonomous, air-launched Talon-A vehicles provide access to operationally realistic flight environments at speeds exceeding Mach 5, delivering critical data that helps customers validate system performance and advance technologies toward deployment. Our team brings together expertise in engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations to solve complex challenges and advance capabilities essential to national security.

The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience across Talent Management, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition. Through rotational assignments and a broader HR team project, the intern will support key people initiatives, develop practical HR skills, and contribute meaningful project-based work to the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Rotate through Talent Management, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition to support HR programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with Talent Management activities, including performance management, employee development, engagement, learning, and HR reporting.
  • Support Compensation projects such as market research, benchmarking, job descriptions, compensation analysis, and documentation.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition with job postings, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, candidate communications, recruiting metrics, and onboarding activities.
  • Complete a broader HR team project that supports business need or process improvement opportunity; present findings and recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and develop reports, presentations, trackers, and communications.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and information in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in HR team meetings and support additional projects as assigned.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interest in Human Resources, Talent Management, Compensation, or Talent Acquisition.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle sensitive employee and business information confidentially.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems is a plus.

    • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Prior internship, coursework, campus involvement, or work experience related to HR, recruiting, analytics, or project management is preferred.

  • $25.00-$28.00 Hourly

    • Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis. We consider several factors to ensure a competitive offer, including your location, educational background, and a comprehensive assessment of the skills and experience demonstrated during your interviews.Benefits and our location(s):
