About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Applications and Architecture team, specifically within the EAA Compliance CXAE division. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable customer experience platforms that streamline customer service and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building innovative services and tools that enhance the efficiency of customer support agents, improve compliance workflows, and support the company’s mission to deliver a superior customer experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to develop full-stack solutions that address critical business needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to impact Coinbase’s infrastructure and contribute to the evolution of our onchain platform, shaping the future of global financial systems.
Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering
• Proven experience in developing web applications and shipping user-facing features using JavaScript and modern frameworks like React
• Strong proficiency in Go programming language
• Experience with third-party vendor integrations
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Knowledge of scalable, high-traffic platform development and implementation of robust services
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ, etc.)
• Proficiency in SQL or NoSQL databases and understanding of gRPC, GraphQL, ETL processes
• Familiarity with caching, load balancing, rate limiters, metrics, logging, and debugging techniques
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and collaborate in a remote or hybrid environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy new services to meet critical business and compliance needs using Golang, React, and Typescript
• Support team members through code reviews, best practice guidance, and documentation
• Implement scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that improve customer experience and compliance workflows
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of Coinbase’s technical platform
• Identify potential technical issues proactively and adapt solutions to mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party services and APIs efficiently
• Monitor and analyze system performance, logs, and metrics to optimize platform stability and scalability
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable plans for team execution
• Foster an environment of innovation by generating and vetting new ideas for platform enhancements
