About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting large-scale enterprise programs within the federal government sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining DevSecOps pipelines, deployment automation, and environment management across multiple platforms and environments. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams including developers, cybersecurity professionals, release managers, and operations staff to enhance delivery speed, ensure compliance, and uphold security standards. The DevOps Engineer will support a complex ecosystem that includes PeopleSoft applications, Oracle platforms, and various security and automation tools, supporting environments in NIPRNET and SIPRNET contexts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects that impact national security and government operations.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related technical role.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience supporting DevSecOps pipelines.
  • 1 year of Unix/Solaris experience.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, containerization, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with pipeline automation, scripting, build/release processes, and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, artifact promotion, and environment coordination across lifecycle stages.
  • Experience supporting release readiness, rollback planning, and deployment documentation.
  • Familiarity with integrating security and quality controls into delivery pipelines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be able to obtain an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines supporting application development, testing, security validation, and deployment.
  • Support and standardize DevSecOps pipelines as enterprise services for multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Automate build, packaging, deployment, configuration, and promotion processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Integrate security scanning, policy gates, code quality checks, automated testing, and compliance controls into the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions to streamline environment provisioning and management.
  • Support source control, branching strategies, artifact repositories, and version traceability across environments.
  • Assist with environment provisioning, patching, and sustainment of DevOps platforms and services.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity and compliance stakeholders to ensure adherence to RMF, STIG, and other security standards.
  • Collaborate with development, testing, operations, release, and security teams to improve deployment reliability and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including pipeline diagrams, runbooks, and architecture guides.
  • Support deployment readiness activities, rollback planning, and change management processes.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the organization’s technical objectives.
