About The Role
We are seeking a talented User Experience (UX) Designer to join our team at Bellese Technologies, specifically supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the software systems that support the Hospital Quality Reporting program. Your work will directly impact thousands of hospitals nationwide that rely on these systems for submitting quality measure data. The ideal candidate will bring empathy, creativity, and technical expertise to design user-centered solutions that reduce provider burden and improve system usability. You will work within an agile environment, collaborating closely with product management and development teams to deliver high-quality, impactful user experiences. Your contributions will help modernize critical healthcare systems, ensuring they are efficient, accessible, and aligned with human-centered design principles.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven experience in UX/UI design, preferably within healthcare or government sectors
  • Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews
  • Knowledge of human-computer interaction (HCI) best practices and heuristic evaluation techniques
  • Ability to develop wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and detailed design specifications
  • Experience working within an agile development environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder, with the ability to pass a public trust background investigation
  • Residency in the U.S. for at least the past three years

Responsibilities

  • Approach UX challenges with empathy and understanding of user needs
  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to define user requirements and design solutions
  • Create and communicate interaction and UX design decisions through wireframes, prototypes, and documentation
  • Develop and maintain design artifacts such as mockups, user flows, and specifications
  • Participate in human-centered research projects, including usability testing and stakeholder interviews
  • Work closely with developers to ensure the implementation of user-centered designs
  • Utilize HCI best practices to evaluate and improve system usability
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations and accessibility assessments
  • Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI specifications that align with user needs and project goals
  • Translate user insights and research findings into actionable design solutions
  • Incorporate visual branding and identity into product designs in collaboration with the design team
  • Continuously measure and analyze the effectiveness of design solutions, iterating based on feedback and data
  • Support all stages of the product development lifecycle from research to deployment
  • Ensure solutions meet security and compliance requirements for healthcare systems
