About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) capabilities, embedding security into our development lifecycle, and ensuring deployment reliability. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in automating software pipelines, with proficiency in tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins Shared Libraries, Groovy scripting, and Jenkinsfile pipelines. As a DevSecOps Engineer at Lumen, you will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to automate infrastructure provisioning, optimize deployment processes, and monitor pipeline performance. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a secure, efficient, and scalable environment, supporting containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes, and integrating security checks seamlessly into workflows. Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in software development and operations
- Strong expertise in Jenkins, including Shared Libraries and pipeline design
- Proficiency in Groovy, Bash, and Python scripting languages
- Deep understanding of Git workflows and version control best practices
- Experience with GitHub Actions for workflow automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and tools like curl
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, and AWS
- Agile development experience using Jira and sprint planning methodologies
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles
- Experience with tools such as Nexus, SonarQube, and Git repositories
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in test and production environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively via MS Teams
- Preferred experience with ServiceNow and customer support portals
- Unix/Linux and Windows administration experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Develop and manage Jenkins Shared Libraries to standardize pipeline logic across multiple projects
- Create and maintain Jenkinsfiles for declarative and scripted pipelines
- Integrate security checks and compliance validations into build and deployment workflows
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment processes
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot build failures, and resolve deployment issues efficiently
- Maintain and optimize tools such as Nexus, SonarQube, and version control repositories
- Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes platforms
- Identify, assess, and integrate open-source technologies and cloud services to improve development workflows
- Mentor and train fellow DevOps engineers, promoting continuous process improvements
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and DevSecOps principles throughout the development lifecycle
