About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team supporting a federal client project. This full-time role is based in Ashburn, VA, with a hybrid work arrangement. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing intuitive and accessible digital interfaces for both legacy and modernized systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders—the UI/UX Designer will translate complex business requirements into user-friendly designs that enhance functionality and user satisfaction. This role demands a balance of creative flair, technical understanding, and leadership capabilities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with mission objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing responsive web applications, establishing design standards, and mentoring junior designers, all while adhering to best practices in user experience and accessibility standards.
Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Human Factors, or a related field
• Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in UI/UX design, visual design, interaction design, or related roles
• Proficiency with enterprise design tools such as Figma (preferred), Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
• Experience designing responsive, user-friendly web applications across multiple devices
• Strong understanding of design trade-offs, technical constraints, and maintainability considerations
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a team-oriented setting

Responsibilities

• Participate as an active member of Agile Scrum teams delivering iterative UI/UX solutions
• Conceptualize and design user-centered interfaces for a variety of software applications, including legacy and modern systems
• Lead efforts to establish consistent visual language, look-and-feel, and standardized user experience across multiple applications
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and product teams to translate business requirements into effective design solutions
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate user flows and concepts clearly
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components
• Partner with technical teams to assess design feasibility, refine approaches, and ensure implementation aligns with design intent
• Ensure the usability, accessibility, and quality of all design artifacts, meeting project deadlines
• Mentor and support junior designers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Apply user research, feedback, and data-driven insights to inform and iterate on design solutions
• Enforce UX best practices, accessibility standards, and consistency across all digital products
• Develop and present strategic design concepts aligned with business goals and user needs
