About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Analyst to join our Data Science team. In this strategic role, you will focus on strengthening Stripe's analytics foundation by defining and implementing the technical standards for data modeling, storage, governance, and accessibility at scale. This is an infrastructure and platform-focused position, not primarily centered on business analytics. You will operate as a technical leader, influencing the systems and practices that underpin data analysis across the organization. Your expertise will help shape the tools and frameworks that enable data analysts, scientists, and engineers to derive insights efficiently and reliably. The role offers flexibility to work either remotely or from an office location, with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation within the team.
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
• Proven experience in data engineering, data modeling, or analytics infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with modern data storage solutions (e.g., data warehouses, lakes)
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Scala, or Java
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
• Demonstrated leadership in technical projects and initiatives
• Understanding of data privacy laws and best practices in data management

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and platforms to support analytics needs
• Define and enforce data modeling standards, data governance policies, and best practices
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and engineers to optimize data workflows and systems

• Operate as a technical authority, providing guidance on data architecture and platform design
