Role summary

The AI Product Manager will drive the development, launch, and optimization of AI-powered products. This role requires bridging business, technology, and data science teams to ensure AI products deliver value and align with strategic goals. Key responsibilities include defining product vision and roadmaps, collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, overseeing the product lifecycle, evaluating AI models for performance and ethical compliance, and making data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of product management experience, a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, and proficiency in product management and data analysis tools.

Role Description

An AI Product Manager drives the development, launch, and optimization of AI-powered products and solutions. This role bridges business, technology, and data science teams, ensuring AI products deliver measurable value, meet user needs, and align with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and strategy for AI and machine learning solutions
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and designers to build AI products
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements based on business needs and user feedback
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization
  • Evaluate AI models and algorithms to ensure performance, scalability, and ethical compliance
  • Monitor key product metrics and drive data-driven decisions
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and insights to stakeholders and senior management
  • Stay updated on AI trends, technologies, and regulatory considerations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in product management, preferably with AI, machine learning, or data-driven products
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, model development, and data pipelines
  • Experience with Agile product development methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha!) and data analysis tools

Preferred:

  • Experience in AI model evaluation, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision projects
  • Professional certifications in Product Management or AI/ML (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, AI Product Manager Certificate)
  • Knowledge of ethical AI principles, AI governance, and regulatory standards
