Role summary
Synapse Health is seeking a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead financial strategy for their rapidly growing healthcare company. This senior leadership role involves owning the company's planning architecture, partnering with the CFO on capital allocation, contract pursuits, risk pricing, and scaling profitably. Responsibilities include managing the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes, building financial models, and providing forward-looking business insights to the CEO and executive team. The role also entails acting as a strategic advisor, leading scenario analysis for capital strategy, shaping pricing and contract negotiations, and managing vendor relationships as a cost lever. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance with at least 4 years of team leadership, strong financial modeling skills, and experience influencing executive decisions. Experience in healthcare, particularly value-based care or capitation, is preferred.
Who We Are:
At Synapse Health, we're streamlining the durable medical equipment (DME) process. We manage intake, documentation, routing, claims, billing, and patient support. Our model reshapes how DME is delivered and experienced.
Since 2016, with decades of industry and leadership experience, we've delivered tech-based solutions that help our partners to modernize operations, improve coordination, and reduce administrative burdens. By taking on operational and financial complexity, we're redefining how DME works for providers, prescribers, and patients. We are proud to offer work that matters, on a mission that matters.

What We Need:
This Director, FP&A is a senior finance leadership role for someone who wants to shape where a rapidly-accelerating healthcare company goes, not just report on where it has been. You will own the planning architecture for the company and partner directly with the CFO on the decisions that matter most: how we allocate capital, which contracts and partnerships we pursue, how we price risk, and how we get to profitable scale. You will lead FP&A through the annual budgeting cycle and our long-range plan process, while building the models and operating rhythm that give the CEO and leadership team a clear, forward-looking view of the business.
You will be a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and executive team, with regular exposure to the Board, lenders, and investors. This is a high-growth role in a high-growth organization.
What You Will Do:
Planning, Forecasting & Team Leadership
Executive Insight, Strategic Partnership & Vendor Management
Note: These responsibilities reflect the general nature and scope of the role but are not exhaustive. Responsibilities may evolve to meet changing business needs.
