founding web(/app) developer

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer. The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining dynamic websites and applications. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing web performance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless functionality. Additionally, the Web Developer will contribute to both front-end and back-end development projects to create user-focused web experiences that align with organizational goals. Additionally, experience in IOS app development is HIGHLY desirable

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Front-End Development and Web Design, including experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Strong skills in Back-End Web Development, Web Development, and Programming using frameworks such as Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience in developing, testing, and debugging web applications to ensure optimal performance and user engagement.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of collaborative team projects.
- Familiarity with modern web standards and best practices in
UX/UI design is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred,

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a drive for continuous learning.

Nice to Have

• iOS development experience (Swift / SwiftUI) — this is a strong plus as mobile is a near-term priority

• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic)

• Familiarity with Cloudflare Pages, Workers, or edge deployment

• Experience with authentication systems and user data management (e.g. Supabase, Firebase, Auth0)

• Prior experience at a startup or in a scrappy, small-team environment

• Interest in education technology and a genuine enthusiasm for the mission
