Role summary
Telecare is seeking a mid-level management Floating Clinical Director for their Mental Health programs in the Bay Area. This role provides leadership, coordination, and clinical supervision to multidisciplinary teams across various locations, assisting the Administrator with quality improvement. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation and involves extensive travel, potentially for extended periods. Candidates must have a Master's degree or higher in Social Services, three years of postgraduate direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, and one year in a leadership role. A current California LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Ph.D./Psy.D. license is mandatory, along with CPR, CPI, and First Aid certifications. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are also required.

What You Will Do to Change Lives
In this mid-level management position and under direct supervision of the Administrator, the Floating Clinical Director provides leadership, coordination, and clinical supervision to multidisciplinary team(s) and/or program(s). This position will provide Clinical Director functions intermittently in assigned programs and may travel extensively as they will be working in different locations as needed. Assists Administrator with quality improvement duties. Employees in this role are required to participate in a structured on-call rotation, remaining accessible and prepared to respond to work-related needs within a designated timeframe. Rotations are scheduled in advance. While on-call, employees must actively monitor communications (e.g., phone, email) and respond in accordance with operational protocols.
Shifts Available:
Full-Time: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Hours will vary: Monday – Friday You will support programs in the Bay Area when there is a vacancy or leave and could be assigned to a program for 2-3 months.
Expected starting wage range is $108,905.47 - $147,542.00. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
- Three years of postgraduate direct clinical experience in a mental health setting.
- The clinical director directs the clinical program and provides general direction of the professional and nonprofessional staff and be responsible for the quality of the clinical services provided in the facility, in conjunction with the Administrator
- Masters or higher degree in Social Services
- One (1) year in leadership role in relevant setting (inpatient or outpatient setting, as appropriate)
- Current licensure/registration in California as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Ph.D./Psy.D.
- Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues
- Ability to travel within assigned region, including overnight travel for extended periods of time up to two to three months in duration if needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment

If the position requires driving, valid driver’s license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.

- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc. (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)
