Role summary

Transportation Equipment Network (TEN) is seeking a Project Manager to join its new Project Management Office (PMO) in Dublin, OH. This role involves leading the full project lifecycle for complex, cross-functional initiatives, defining scope, developing plans, and managing stakeholders, risks, budgets, and vendors. The ideal candidate will contribute to PMO development, establish processes, and drive continuous improvement. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of project management experience, proficiency with PM tools, and strong communication and influencing skills. Preferred qualifications include PMP certification and experience in logistics or fleet management.

Transportation Equipment Network (TEN) is one of North America's largest full-service trailer leasing, rental, maintenance, and fleet management providers. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Project Manager to join our newly established Project Management Office (PMO).

This is more than a traditional project coordination role. We are seeking a strategic thinker and execution-focused leader who can independently manage complex cross-functional initiatives, align stakeholders, and drive meaningful business outcomes across the organization.

What You'll Do

Project Planning & Execution

Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout for a portfolio of high-impact cross-functional initiatives.

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, and stakeholder communications.

Coordinate work across departments while managing dependencies and competing priorities.

Proactively identify obstacles and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, senior leaders, department heads, and external partners.

Facilitate meetings, drive decision-making, and ensure accountability for project deliverables.

Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly and effectively.

Build strong relationships and influence outcomes without direct reporting authority.

Risk, Budget & Resource Management

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Escalate issues with clear analysis and recommended solutions.

Manage project budgets, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Oversee vendor relationships and ensure external partners meet expectations.

Drive cost efficiencies without sacrificing quality or timelines.

PMO Development & Process Improvement

Contribute to the design and development of PMO methodologies, standards, tools, and reporting frameworks.

Establish repeatable project management processes that support organizational growth.

Conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Support change management activities associated with project implementation.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of project management, business operations, or related experience.

Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and drive accountability across teams.

Proficiency with project management tools such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or similar platforms.

Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or evolving business challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.

Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management, equipment leasing, or another operationally complex environment.

Experience supporting organizational growth, transformation, or process improvement initiatives.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Primary work location is Dublin, Ohio.

Occasional travel to TEN branch locations may be required.

Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.

Ability to participate in meetings, presentations, and occasional site visits as needed.
