TerraClear is seeking a full-stack Software Development / Technical Support Engineer for their hybrid role in Issaquah, WA. This position involves developing and supporting applications across web, iOS, Android, and Linux platforms, focusing on real-time mapping solutions, in-field image processing, and REST-based backend services. The role requires 1+ years of experience, knowledge of computer science fundamentals, GenAI tools, Node.js, Angular/React/TypeScript, and MVC architecture. TerraClear applies artificial intelligence, robotics, and world-class mechanical design to solve some of the most data deficient and labor intensive jobs on the farm. The annual emergence of news rocks impacts nearly half of farms in North America, slowing farming, damaging equipment, and causing downtime during seeding and harvesting. Jr Software Development / Tech Support Engineer - Hybrid role based out of our Issaquah, WA headquarters

We are looking for a result-driven full-stack Software Development / Technical Support Engineer to participate in the development of TerraClear applications which span a range of target platforms (Web, iOS, Android, Linux). Your success will allow the company to enhance the customer experience, expedite availability of rock maps and scale our commercial rock mapping services.

In this role, you will:

Build, debug and support real-time actionable mapping solutions that are highly reliable, innovative and high performance

Support real-time in-field image edge processing

Design, implement and deploy front-end elements, REST-based back-end services and database design schemas across TerraClear’s application stack

Partner with Product Management and Software Engineering team members to review application functionality requirements and interface design

Ensure our suite of applications remain current with major 3rd party dependency releases and current design / implementation practices

Work in Agile environment to prioritize tasks and deliver technical milestones on schedule

Experience - Required:

1+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in commercial product environment

BS or MS in Software Engineering, CS (or related field) or commensurate work experience

Knowledge of computer science fundamentals

Knowledge of how to leverage GenAI tools to expedite the design, development and debugging of commercial quality software applications

Knowledge of REST-based backend services

Knowledge of Node JS, Angular/React JS/TypeScript

Knowledge of MVC architecture

Strong communication, positive attitude and excellent team player

Willingness to travel to our field offices and testing areas

Experience - Nice to have:

Knowledge of Linux operating system

Work experience with a relational database, preferably PostgreSQL

Exposure to AWS services such as Lambda/API Gateway/SQS

Proficiency in commercial SDLC processes, including source code management tools (GitHub)

Compensation Range = $80-125k
