Role summary
Thatch is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to own the company's systems and access infrastructure, focusing on endpoint compliance, identity and access management, and security initiatives. Responsibilities include administering Okta, MDM, PAM workflows, and managing the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 4-6 years of IT support or systems engineering experience, with a strong understanding of security principles and IAM concepts. Certifications in relevant technologies are a plus. This is a fully remote, full-time position with an estimated compensation range of $145,000 - $158,000 USD.
About Thatch
For most people, health insurance is something that happens to them: a plan chosen by someone else, with little room to fit their life. Thatch is changing that. We help companies give every employee a real healthcare budget instead of a one-size-fits-all plan, so people can choose the coverage and care that works for them, and employers get predictable costs they can control.
It’s a simple idea, but making it real means solving hard problems across healthcare, payments, and technology, and we’re just getting started. We look for people who like solving complex problems, use good judgment, and are comfortable working through ambiguity. People here care deeply about our customers, take real responsibility for what gets built, and are driven by doing work that matters.
About the role
At Thatch, technology is how our teams get their work done, securely and without friction. As our IT Ops/Systems Engineer, you'll own the systems and access infrastructure that keeps the company running: endpoint compliance, identity and access management, and the operational backbone behind our security initiatives. This role goes beyond day-to-day support. You'll be the owner of company-wide compliance, conditional access and privileged access workflows in a Mac-first environment, with the autonomy to build the systems and automation that let us scale securely. If you want real ownership over how a fast-growing technology company manages access and identity, this role is for you.
