Digital Asset is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its legal team. This role involves broad exposure to commercial transactions, M&A, securities, product, and regulatory counseling, as well as general corporate matters. The Associate General Counsel will work directly with executive leadership and the board, leading contract negotiations, building contract infrastructure, supporting M&A and investments, and handling corporate governance and regulatory issues. The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, active New York bar admission, and 4-8 years of experience in M&A, regulatory filings, and complex contract negotiations, preferably within the crypto, technology, or fintech sectors. A generalist mindset and interest in financial technology are essential.

Digital Asset is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its legal team at a pivotal moment for the company and the broader financial ecosystem. As the first Associate General Counsel, you will work directly with executive leadership and the board, shaping the legal function as Digital Asset scales rapidly. Responsibilities include leading contract negotiations for high-value agreements, building scalable contract infrastructure, supporting M&A activity, managing strategic investments, and handling a wide range of corporate governance and regulatory matters. The role also involves serving as a legal partner to multiple business functions, resolving diverse legal issues, and mentoring non-legal teams on risk frameworks and legal processes.

The ideal candidate brings a JD from a top-tier law school, active New York bar admission (or eligibility to waive in), and 4-8 years of experience as a corporate associate at a leading law firm or as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500, high-growth crypto, technology, or fintech company. Direct experience with M&A transactions, regulatory filings, and complex contract negotiations is essential. A generalist mindset, entrepreneurial energy, and genuine interest in financial technology—including blockchain and on-chain capital markets—are key to success in this role.
