Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating excellent knife skills and food handling techniques
  • Serve meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Support dietary department operations by adhering to specific dietary restrictions and meal requirements
  • Contribute to food presentation and garnishing to enhance visual appeal in fine dining or catering environments
  • Help with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations

Experience

  • Proven experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings, with a strong understanding of meal planning and food preparation processes
  • Background in restaurant or food industry environments, particularly in fine dining or catering services
  • Hands-on culinary experience including cooking techniques, food handling safety, and kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with menu development and meal presentation standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
  • Experience with serving large groups or catering events is highly desirable
