Role summary

Townsquare Media is seeking a Part-Time Radio Host for its WWJO Classic Country Show on Sundays in St. Cloud. This role involves shaping on-air content, engaging with listeners, producing commercials, and representing the station at events. The ideal candidate has proven digital content creation experience, a strong on-air presence, knowledge of FCC rules, and comfort operating broadcast equipment. A High School Diploma, valid driver's license, and vehicle are required. This is an onsite, part-time position paying $15 per hour.

Townsquare Media – St. Cloud is looking for a Part Time Radio Host to support our WWJO Classic Country Show on Sundays.

This part-time role is perfect for someone who is creative, organized, digitally savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping content on-air.

What You’ll Do:

As a Part Time Radio Host, you’ll play a key role in shaping the sound of WWJO as you engage audiences on-air.

Support live, engaging on-air shows on Sundays

Prepare compelling daily show content that entertains, informs, and connects with the target audience

Screen calls, manage listener interaction, and enhance audience engagement during on-air segments

Coordinate guests, interviews, remote broadcasts, and station events

Connect with listeners through interviews, live appearances, remotes, and community events

Represent the station at promotions, live broadcasts, and special programming initiatives

Produce commercials and support market-wide programming and content needs

Identify trending topics and leverage audience insights to generate relevant content ideas

Collaborate cross-functionally with on-air talent, programming, promotions, digital, and sales teams to execute integrated content initiatives and campaigns

Assist with live events, station activations, and promotions as needed

Champion the station brand in the community by building authentic relationships and maintaining a strong local presence

What You’ll Bring:

Proven experience creating original written digital content

Strong on-air presence with the ability to connect authentically with listeners

Knowledge of basic FCC rules and regulations

Solid understanding of current events and various formats

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Comfort multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment

Ability to operate control boards, remote broadcast equipment, and related production tools

Willingness to quickly learn and become proficient in NexGen and Adobe Audition

Public speaking confidence and comfort interacting with listeners, clients, and partners

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively

High School Diploma (required)

Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and vehicle (required)
