Role summary

Tract Capital seeks a VP, Enterprise Solutions & Business Alignment to act as a strategic liaison between Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate IT. This role ensures business strategies are translated into technology initiatives aligned with enterprise architecture, driving innovation and value. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep enterprise architecture and solution consulting expertise to guide LOB leaders toward technology decisions that maximize agility, scalability, and ROI. Responsibilities include strategic engagement, enterprise architecture fluency, solution consulting, demand/portfolio management, and communication/change leadership. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of IT/business experience (5+ in partnering, consulting, or architecture), and knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and cloud platforms.

Position Overview:

The VP, Enterprise Solutions & Business Alignment serves as the strategic liaison between assigned Lines of Business (LOBs) and the Corporate IT organization. This role ensures business strategies and priorities are translated into technology initiatives that align with enterprise architecture, drive innovation, and deliver measurable value. The person combines strong business acumen with deep enterprise architecture fluency and solution consulting expertise to guide LOB leaders toward technology decisions that maximize agility, scalability, and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Engagement

Partner with LOB executives to understand business goals, pain points, and emerging opportunities

Align business priorities with Shared IT roadmaps, standards, and enterprise architecture principles

Serve as a trusted advisor, positioning IT as an enabler of growth, innovation, and operational effectiveness

Enterprise Architecture Fluency

Bridge business needs with enterprise technology strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate architecture frameworks

Evaluate solution options against established architectural standards, including cloud platforms, integration layers, and data governance requirements

Guide and challenge business stakeholders on the long-term architectural implications of technology decisions

Solution Consulting

Lead early-stage solution shaping and consulting, defining high-level architecture, scope, and options before transition to solution delivery teams

Facilitate build-versus-buy analyses, vendor evaluations, and proof-of-concept efforts

Translate complex technology considerations into clear business terms for decision-makers

Demand & Portfolio Management

Serve as the primary intake point for LOB IT requests, facilitating prioritization in line with enterprise governance

Build and maintain a portfolio view of all IT initiatives supporting the LOB

Support value realization tracking following deployment

Communication & Change Leadership

Act as the voice of the LOB within Shared IT and the voice of IT within the LOB

Provide clear, consistent communication on IT strategy, initiative status, risks, and service performance

Support organizational change management for technology-driven transformations

Required Traits, Expertise, and Skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

10+ years of IT and business experience, including at least 5 years in IT business partnering, solution consulting, or enterprise architecture

Experience in multinational or matrixed organizations strongly preferred

Technical / Functional Expertise

Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent

Deep familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as SaaS ecosystems and integration architectures

Proven ability to lead solution consulting engagements, including business case development, vendor assessment, and high-level solution design

Understanding of data architecture, security, compliance, and interoperability considerations

Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into IT roadmaps and actionable initiatives

Core Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across executive and operational levels

Strong consultative and facilitation skills, with the ability to balance business needs and IT constraints

Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and navigate global and cross-LOB priorities

Proven track record of driving measurable business value from technology investments

Preferred Skills

Experience in telecommunications engineering or operations is a plus

Understanding of ERP, CRM, and OSS systems preferred; Salesforce experience is a plus

Experience managing large, complex programs

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred

Experience with process architecture, UML, or similar business process modeling methodologies

Familiarity with RUP and BPM tools, such as Rational Rose, Tibco Business, ARIS, use case modeling, and data modeling tools

Expected Salary Range: $160,000 to $212,000 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus
