Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spiritual Counselor/Bereavement Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing support and guidance to individuals facing various life challenges. The Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to develop coping strategies, facilitate healing, and empower them through their journeys.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients in need of support.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques to assist clients during difficult situations.
• Educate clients on coping mechanisms and life skills to enhance their well-being.
• Lead workshops and seminars on topics related to mental health and personal development.
• Mentor clients by establishing trusting relationships and offering guidance.
• Conduct assessments to determine client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve issues that may arise during counseling sessions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other professionals in the field to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay informed about best practices in counseling, including hospice care and Christian counseling approaches.

Requirements

• A degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in counseling or a related role is highly desirable.
• Strong public speaking skills for leading workshops and presentations.
• Excellent writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in guiding clients through their challenges.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and conflict management strategies.
• A compassionate approach with the ability to empathize with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus but not required.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of counseling.
