Role summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Facility Technician/10 Day Coordinator in Royse City, TX, to manage various aspects of facility waste management. This role involves RCRA and DOT compliance, technical services, transportation, solid disposal coordination, hazardous waste transfer, and universal waste management. The position offers training and growth opportunities, with the potential to manage a Triumvirate Waste Facility. Responsibilities include ensuring facility compliance, assisting with operations, consolidating waste, coordinating outbound loads, and understanding safety regulations. The role requires teamwork, customer service orientation, computer proficiency, and the ability to lift 60 pounds. A CDL is preferred. This is an onsite, safety-sensitive position.

10 Day Facility Coordinator / Facility Technician

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Facility Technician/ 10 Day Coordinator for our Royse City team.

In this role, you will be involved with multiple aspects of facility waste management. This is a unique role that will give you exposure to RCRA and DOT compliance, technical services, transportation, solid disposal coordination, ten-day transfer of hazardous waste and universal waste management. It is our hope that with the right training, mentoring, and experience, you will be able to grow and manage your own Triumvirate Waste Facility.

This position reports to our Facility Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Royse City, TX.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Develop the knowledge and experience to manage a permitted facility.
  • Understand facility permit and local governing agency expectations for waste management.
  • Assist with general facility compliance including performing daily/weekly/monthly compliance checks, training, SOP implementation/review, and process review.
  • Assist with general facility operations including serving as management if the facility manager is not available.
  • Consolidate waste according to permits, disposal facility requirements, and customer preferences.
  • Assist with waste determinations/profile management.
  • Coordinate outbound loads- setting up deliveries, scheduling transporters, etc.
  • Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, and EPA regulations.
  • Demonstrate your supervisory leadership abilities through interaction with coworkers.
  • Work towards becoming familiar with technical, customer service, and business components of environmental services.
  • Work with computerized waste tracking systems.
  • Upon completion of emergency response (ER) training, you will be part of an in-house ER team.
  • Drive a forklift.

    • Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Comfortable using computers.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
  • Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
  • Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
  • This position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.

    • Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior knowledge, experience, and compliance with DOT, RCRA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
