New Product Introduction & Quality Management Analyst

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, data integrity, and process readiness required to successfully develop, commercialize, and supply products to customers. The role acts as a key interface between Quality, R&D, Product Management, Regulatory, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, and IT, connecting business requirements with reliable processes, systems, and data.

The position contributes to business success by reducing time-to-market, accelerating raw material qualification, ensuring accurate and consistent product specifications, minimizing quality and master-data related disruptions, and enabling effective resolution of customer issues. Through continuous process improvement, data governance, user support, the role strengthens operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and the scalability and reliability of quality processes.

Main Responsibilities

SAP Quality Management master data maintenance:

Maintain SAP objects (e.g. batch class, inspection plans, certificate profiles, batch search strategies) and settings in the material master (e.g. shelf life, inspection type) for new commercial products.

AP Quality Management key user:

Serve as first point of contact for SAP Quality Management troubleshooting. Support quality control, customer service and SCM to resolve Quality Management related issues occuring during quality inspection and order management. 

Gather requirements from business, Identify process improvements and translate them into IT requirements. Develop a data governance concept and provide training to business users.

Actively participate in SAP projects.

Sales Specification Management:

Own and govern the global sales specification process. Collaborate with product development, quality control, regulatory and product management to establish global sales specifications. Maintain and harmonize them in a dedicated tool, as well as, in SAP S/4HANA. Ensure efficient turnaround times for specification creation and changes.

Vendor material qualification:

Own and govern the vendor material qualification process for North America. Collaborate with R&D, product management and procurement to accelerate the end-to-end qualification process. Coordinate cross-functional activities with EHS, Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, and Quality Control to ensure all qualification requirements are met.

Develop and maintain a global raw material specification database, providing a centralized and reliable source of quality and technical requirements for raw materials.

New product introduction:

Collaborate with R&D and product management to gather requirements for new R&D and commercial products. Initiate new SKU and SDS requests and make sure that relevant stakeholders receive sufficient information to complete their deliverables.

Customer complaint management:

Coordinate across sales, customer service, logistics, quality control so that customer complaints get resolved in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

-BS/BA Degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, I.T. Or related fields.

-3+ years of professional experience in a similar role. 

-Working experience with SAP Quality Management (QM), SAP Material Management (MM) in SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC.

-Familiarity with data mangement and data governance principles.

-Familiarity with Regulatory Affairs (e.g. TSCA, REACh).

-Familiarity with product development and commercialization.

-Familiarity with polyurethane products and applications.

-Familiarity with manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control processes.

-Familiarity with customer complaint management processes.

-Ability to analyze and synthesize large volumes of complex data and information from diverse sources to identify relevant insights and make sound decisions.

-Ability to identify process weaknesses and independently develop, implement, and drive sustainable solutions for continuous process improvement.

-Ability to navigate complex, cross-functional issues and align stakeholders with different priorities and requirements.

-Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and determine appropriate solutions within defined business and regulatory frameworks.
