Role summary
UF Health in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a Sterile Supply Technician to manage the daily operations of reprocessing reusable medical supplies and instrumentation. This role involves decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage processes, adhering to professional standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with legible reading and writing skills, professional communication, and solid math skills. Previous experience in Central Sterile processing is preferred. This is a full-time, onsite position with variable hours and days.

Responsibilities
The Sterile Supply Technician is responsible for the daily operations of all activities that relate to the reprocessing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization and storage processes within all applicable professional standards.

Experience
Required: Must be able to read and write legibly and communicate in a professional manner to all hospital staff. Solid math skills required.
