Role summary
The Crane Coordinator is responsible for the administrative coordination of UIS-managed crane appointments. This office-based role involves managing the intake, scheduling, and reporting of crane requests, ensuring all necessary details and approvals are in place. Key duties include maintaining the crane schedule, publishing lookahead schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders (supervision, foremen, contractors, customers) regarding material availability and site readiness, tracking external approvals, and collecting closeout information. The coordinator also issues daily reports, maintains documentation, and supports KPI summaries. While not responsible for technical lift plans or field safety, the role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume schedule changes under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with crane operations and construction logistics are essential.
