Role summary
Veeda AI is seeking a Head of Business Development & Partnerships to drive revenue by building their commercial engine from scratch. This role involves owning the go-to-market strategy, converting design partners into multi-year contracts, and leading negotiations for pricing, API terms, data rights, and IP. The position requires building strategic partnerships with OEMs, robotics companies, and compute providers, as well as supporting fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate has significant experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales, a proven track record of closing complex deals with technical buyers, and deep relationships within the robotics ecosystem. Experience selling AI, simulation, or developer platforms is highly valued. The role also includes hiring and leading the business development team.

Responsibilities
You will turn Veeda's technology lead into revenue, building our first commercial engine from the ground up. As a head of Business Development, you own how we go to market: which segments we enter first, which partners we sign, and how design partnerships grow into multi-year contracts. You report to the CEO and work daily with the founding team and research leads.
Commercial Strategy: Own the go-to-market strategy and pipeline across robotics, deciding which segments we enter first and where we win.
Deal Conversion: Turn design partners and MoUs into paid pilots, then into multi-year platform contracts.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations end to end, covering pricing, usage-based API terms, data rights, and IP.
Strategic Partnerships: Build partnerships with OEMs, robotics companies, compute providers, and data partners.
Packaging & Pricing: Decide how our platform is packaged and priced as we move from pilots to scale.
Fundraising Support: Support fundraising with market sizing, customer evidence, and investor conversations.
Team Building: Hire and lead the business development and partnerships team as we grow.
Requirements
Significant experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales, including senior leadership roles.
Proven track record of closing large, complex deals with technical buyers.
Deep relationships across the robotics ecosystem.
Experience selling AI, simulation, or developer platforms, ideally usage-based or API products.
Technical fluency to work closely with engineering teams and explain world models to both technical and executive audiences.
Ability to build from zero at an early-stage company, with high ownership and speed.
Nice to Have
Prior experience at a robotics or simulation company.
Experience negotiating data licensing and IP terms.
Degree in engineering or another technical field.
