Role summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Computer Specialist to evaluate, manage, maintain, and optimize computer hardware, systems software, operating systems, and software development tools. The role requires strong experience in at least two of the following disciplines: System Analysis, System Programming, Application Programming, or Equipment Analysis, with a minimum of 8 years in these areas. Additionally, 5 years of experience as a computer hardware or systems software specialist, or as a systems analyst evaluating computer hardware and software, is necessary. The candidate must be proficient in assessing technical requirements, evaluating hardware/software capabilities, and identifying system bottlenecks. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years of equivalent experience is required. Preferred experience includes a Master's degree and hands-on implementation of law-enforcement or public-safety applications.

Rate – $40/hr.

Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Computer Specialist to evaluate, manage, maintain, and optimize computer hardware, systems software, operating systems, and software development tools. The candidate should have strong experience in systems analysis, systems programming, application programming, or equipment analysis.Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; alternatively, 3 years of equivalent experience in a related field.
At least 8 years of computer experience in at least 2 of the following disciplines:
- System Analysis
- System Programming
- Application Programming
- Equipment Analysis
At least 5 years of experience as a computer hardware or systems software specialist, or as a systems analyst evaluating computer hardware and software.
Experience evaluating hardware and software capabilities, compatibility, and interoperability.
Knowledge of operating systems, system configurations, performance optimization, and resource utilization.
Experience identifying system bottlenecks and recommending improvements.
Ability to assess technical requirements and recommend hardware and software solutions.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

Master's degree preferred.
Recent hands-on experience implementing or deploying production law-enforcement or public-safety applications, including CAD, RMS, and mobile-computing applications.
