Role summary

Animal Health Care Denver seeks a full-time Practice Manager to lead veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. This role involves overseeing daily operations, personnel management (hiring, training, development), clinic operations (scheduling, inventory), and guiding continuous improvement with a focus on client experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative in balancing business and staff needs, possess experience in clinical HR functions, and be comfortable learning and utilizing the practice management system. Previous management experience in a veterinary setting is preferred. The position offers a salary of $70,000-$75,000 per year, potential for a 15% performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Animal Health Care Denver is seeking a full-time Practice Manager to provide leadership and structure to our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. With a solid understanding of the veterinary industry, and prior experience overseeing the clinics operations, you'll be responsible for leading with clarity, managing multiple priorities, and contributing directly to the ongoing excellence of the clinic and the well-being of the animals we care for.

What to Expect

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Eligibility for up to 15% performance-based annual bonus.

Schedule: This is a full-time position. The hospital’s operating hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

    • Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, with a primary focus on personnel management, including hiring, training, and development.
  • Manage Clinic operations, including scheduling and inventory management.
  • Guide and coach colleagues toward continuous improvement, maintaining a strong commitment to the client experience.
  • Demonstrate initiative in balancing the needs of both the business and the staff.

    • Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
  • Comfortable working part time on the floor, both in the back and up front.
  • Experience executing clinical HR functions, including SOPs, evaluations, and disciplinary action.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize our practice management system
