Role summary

Caring Hands Clarendon is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. Responsibilities include supporting veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery; safely handling animals; communicating with clients; performing technical duties like lab work and radiographs; maintaining medical records; and ensuring compliance with hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines. The role requires LVT certification, safe animal handling abilities, knowledge of common disease states, and familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, a 401(k), professional development, and a sign-on bonus.

Veterinary Technician

Salary: $25.00-45.00 per hour dependent on experience and skill. $3000 sign on bonus

Schedule: : This is a full-time position averaging 32–40 hours per week, Monday- Friday 7:30AM-8PM, Saturdays 8AM-4PM

    • Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
  • Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
  • Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
  • Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
  • Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

    • Qualifications:

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
  • Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
  • Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
  • Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
