Role summary

North Oatland Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, safely handling animals, performing technical duties like lab work and radiography, and maintaining medical records. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about common disease states, familiar with DEA and OSHA guidelines, and possesses strong animal handling and client communication skills. Veterinary Technician

Salary: $25.00-$33.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience

Schedule: Full or part time, must be available Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays.

North Oatland Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.

    • Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
  • Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
  • Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
  • Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
  • Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

    • Qualifications:

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
  • Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
  • Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
  • Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
