Role summary
WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Cardiovascular Specialist to assist physicians with invasive cardiac, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures. The role involves patient care before and after procedures, scheduling, and coordinating care within the Invasive Cardiology department. This position requires specific licensure and an Associate's Degree in a relevant field. Preferred experience includes 1 year in clinical radiology, cardiac sonography, respiratory therapy, EMT-paramedic, or cardiovascular settings.
The Cardiovascular Specialist assists physicians in performing a variety of invasive cardiac, electrophysiology and vascular procedures. The Cardiovascular Specialist also cares for patients before and after procedures in the holding area, schedules procedures, coordinates patient care with physicians and staff, and performs duties for the Invasive Cardiology department as assigned by the manager, supervisor, or board coordinator.
