Role summary
Walmart is seeking experienced Refrigeration Technicians in Florida to diagnose, repair, and optimize commercial HVAC/R systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems, repairing equipment, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and food safety. Candidates must have at least 2 years of commercial HVAC or refrigeration experience, Universal EPA certification, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. This role requires independent work and the ability to manage calls and prioritize repairs. Relocation opportunities are available.
What you’ll do
Diagnose, repair, and optimize commercial HVAC/R systems. Refrigeration technicians protect comfort and food safety by keeping our cooling and climate systems dialed in. You will respond to issues, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, then follow up with preventive maintenance across assigned locations to help prevent downtime.
Is this for you?
- 2 plus years of commercial HVAC or refrigeration experience
- Universal EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) or EPA Type I and II certification for refrigerant handling
- Confident using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools to find electrical and mechanical issues
- Comfortable working on rooftop units, refrigeration racks, compressors, and control systems
- Proud of quality work, safety, and code compliance
- Able to work independently, manage calls, and prioritize urgent repairs
- Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
Schedule
Monday to Friday; Some nights and weekend work will be required based on business needs
