What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and fleet inspections
• Maintain and repair rear-load, front-load, roll-off, grapple, and other heavy-duty waste collection vehicles
• Utilize diagnostic software and vehicle computer systems to troubleshoot chassis and body issues
• Conduct road tests and emergency roadside repairs
• Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance documentation accurately
• Perform repairs according to factory service manuals and company standards
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety policies
• Support fleet reliability through proactive maintenance and collaboration with drivers and operations teams

Qualifications

• Advanced heavy-duty diesel diagnostic and repair experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake systems
• Experience working on refuse, waste, or vocational trucks preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• CDL preferred but not required
• ASE Certifications or trade school training preferred
• Ability to utilize diagnostic software and computerized maintenance systems
• High level of professionalism, ethics, and dependability
