Role summary

Weinstein Properties is seeking an EPA Certified Maintenance Technician for their Charlotte, NC location. This full-time, Monday-Friday role offers competitive pay ($24/hour+), on-call pay, quarterly bonuses, and a rent discount. Responsibilities include completing work orders, apartment turns, and repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, EPA certification, strong HVAC skills, and a customer service mindset. Must be able to work independently, as part of a team, and meet physical requirements.

  • Pay: $24/hour (and up, depending on experience)
  • On-call pay:
  • $150/week (calls or no calls)
  • Additional $150 per holiday on-call
  • Quarterly bonus: Up to $980 based on property and team performance

    • Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week)
  • Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

    • What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

  • Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments
  • Assist with apartment turns and make-readies
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items
  • Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

    • What We’re Looking For In Our Maintenance Technicians

  • At least 5 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
  • EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
  • Solid Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting, repair and replacement experience required
  • Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
  • Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks

    • Physical & Technical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
  • Ability to drive a golf cart
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Background check required
