Role summary

WellPower is seeking a Driver for their Adult Resource Center to provide delivery and pick-up services for donations and purchasing needs. This on-site role involves physically loading, unloading, and carrying various products, maintaining records, and practicing safety techniques. The position requires a high school diploma, one year of driving experience (familiarity with box trucks), and a valid driver's license with a clean record. The role involves physical stamina and manual dexterity for operating large trucks and equipment, with lifting up to 50 pounds and co-lifting up to 150-300lbs. This is a 30-hour per week position based in Denver.

    • Position Summary:

    Provide delivery and pick up services for WellPower, including donations and purchasing needs for the Resource Center, and other locations within the organization.

    Work Location: This is an on site position sitting primarily out of WellPowers Resource Center - 1075 Galapago St, Denver. Driving locations vary but are within the Denver Metro.

    Shift/Hours: Monday - Thursday ranging around 7am - 3pm. This role is 30hrs.

    • The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.

    Job Duties & Functions:

  • Follow organizational and departmental rules and guidelines
  • Pick up Food Bank of the Rockies, and organize as directed.
  • Pick up private donations throughout our community, as organized by the Shoppette supervisor.
  • Takes an active physical role in loading, unloading and carrying various products on a daily basis.
  • Maintain necessary records of work, receipts, customer needs/feedback and supply needs.
  • Practice safety and best practice techniques while lifting and moving goods, while wearing appropriate protective equipment and safety shoes as required.
  • Prepare and schedule for weekly warehouse and inventory pick ups with warehouse and inventory supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience as a driver, must be familiar with driving a box truck
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the last 7 years.

    • Physical Requirements:

    Sitting for extended periods while operating a vehicle and repeated entering and exiting of the vehicle. Frequent use of hands and arms for steering, shifting, and operating vehicle controls. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires physical stamina and manual dexterity sufficient to operate large trucks and equipment.

    Working Conditions:

    Work is performed in a vehicle, with prolonged periods of sitting and driving. Frequent travel on highways, city streets, and rural roads; may encounter heavy traffic and road hazards. Exposure to noise, vibration, fumes, and dust from the vehicle and surrounding environment.
