Role summary
Wispr is seeking a Growth Engineer to own the user activation curve, focusing on onboarding, first use, and habit formation for their AI voice interface products. This role involves rapidly shipping experiments, analyzing results honestly, closing funnel gaps across platforms, and prototyping novel interactive experiences to drive growth. The ideal candidate can demonstrate impact on funnel metrics, kill experiments when evidence dictates, ship at production quality, and navigate ambiguity with data-driven decision-making. Experience with product-led growth, experimentation platforms, or SQL is helpful but not required.
About Wispr
Wispr is an AI research and product company building the voice interface for computing. AI can now reason, code, and act. Yet, humans still do the work of the interface. We think that’s backwards. Our first products are Flow, which lets you speak naturally in any application, and Notetaker, which builds context across conversations. We’re building toward an interface that can perceive, understand, and take action with earned trust. That means solving hard problems across models, systems, and product - and caring about the final human experience as deeply as the technology underneath it.
We’re a talent-dense team that holds strong opinions, tests them quickly, and builds technology that sparks joy. Our goal is to build the first voice interface used every day by a billion people.
About the role
Hundreds of thousands of people onboard every quarter, but most haven't yet reached the moment voice becomes a natural part of how they work. As a Growth Engineer at Wispr, you'll own that challenge: onboarding, first dictation, and the path from trying Flow to relying on it.
What you'll do
Own the activation curve: onboarding, first use, habit formation
Ship experiments fast, read results honestly, graduate winners and kill losers
Improve the randomization, exposure, instrumentation, and analysis that make results trustworthy
Close funnel gaps across platforms with the teams that own the product experience
Prototype novel interactive experiences to unlock growth
You may be a fit if
You've moved a funnel metric and can explain the before, the after, and why your work caused it
You've killed your own experiments when the evidence said so
You ship fast at production quality and prefer several clear iterations to one perfect launch
You answer product questions with data and know when the measurement is misleading
You take ownership when the problem, or the path forward, is ambiguous
Product-led growth, experimentation platform, or SQL experience is helpful but not required. Voice, ML, or native desktop and mobile experience is not required.
