Role summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is seeking an Air Logistics Controller to act as the central hub for data and information for local operations and customers. This role involves maintaining consistent communication with warehouse and ramp operations, third-party trucking providers, and customers via phone and a proprietary computer system. The controller will be a subject matter expert on the customer's standard work manual, driving communications regarding flight delays, operational escalations, and inventory levels. Responsibilities include managing truck activity logs, monitoring flights, creating reports, and adapting to procedural changes while working under pressure. A minimum of 2 years of data entry experience is required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job Summary

Controllers function as the central clearing house for all data and information for the local operation and the customer. In this role, the controller must maintain consistent and professional communication with warehouse operations, ramp operations, 3rd party trucking providers and the customer through phone calls and updates in the customers proprietary computer system.

The successful controller will be a subject matter expert in the customers standard work manual and use this as a guide to drive required communications. Examples of communications would include notice of flight/linehaul delays, operational escalationsand consumable inventories.

Responsibilities

Upkeep Inbound and Outbound Trucks Activity Logs.
Professionally handle Inbound calls and outbound calls.
Monitor Inbound and Outbound flights.
Adapt to constant changes in procedures.
Create and send reports on time “in the loop”.
Display ability to work as a team.
Able to work under pressure.
Knowledgeable of Amazon Logistics System.
Have ability to follow instructions.
Be willing to work and be trained in all aspects of the operation.
Detail Oriented.
Must Be Flexible.
Exceptional Communication Skills.
Any additional tasks or job assignments assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

2 years’ experience in Data Entry.
Highschool diploma, GED or International equivalent
Professionally handle Inbound calls and outbound calls.
Able to work under pressure and adapt to constant changes in procedures.
Be willing to work overtime when needed.
Detail Oriented with exceptional communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Good customer services skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) is preferred.
Warehouse experience preferred.
GWAM of 35+ words per minute.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for prolonged period.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to work in stressful working conditions and under pressure.
Ability to work in seasonal and adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Ability to work rotating shift including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday & Sunday), holidays and days off.
