Role summary

Seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to provide clinical support, enhance patient care efficiency, and maintain communication between patients, dentists, and administrative staff. Responsibilities include preparing patients, assisting with procedures, taking radiographs and intra-oral pictures, providing post-operative instructions, maintaining sterile environments, and managing dental supply inventory. Requires knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, strong verbal skills, and a positive team approach. Compliance with infection control standards (CDC, OSHA, HIPAA) is essential. CDA certification and state licensure are preferred/required.

The Dental Assistant provides clinical support to facilitate the relationship between our patients and dentists, increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care, and maintain communication between dentists, patients, and administrative staff to ensure a positive patient experience. This role will support both our Wakefield and Saugus Gentle Dental offices.

Responsibilities:

Greet and prepare patients for treatment

Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures

Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures

Provide post operative instructions and patient education

Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments

Maintain strict compliance to infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA

Maintain dental supply inventory

Perform other related job duties as assigned

Must demonstrate strong teamwork as the providers assisted are subject to change dependent upon the practice needs

Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

C.D.A. preferred

Possess required certifications, licensure or registration as required by state

Strong verbal skills
