Role summary

New Haven Dental Group is seeking a Part-Time Periodontal Dental Assistant to provide clinical support, enhance patient experience, and maintain communication between patients, dentists, and administrative staff. Responsibilities include chairside assisting, taking radiographs and intra-oral pictures, providing patient education, maintaining treatment rooms and instruments, and ensuring compliance with infection control standards. The role requires reliable transportation for travel between multiple locations and knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. A Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) is preferred, along with strong verbal skills and a positive team approach. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

The Part-Time Periodontal Dental Assistant will provide clinical support to facilitate the relationship between our patients and dentists, increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care, and maintain communication between dentists, patients, and administrative staff to ensure a positive patient experience. Our Specialty team travels to multiple locations. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel required. Mileage reimbursement provided.

The schedule needed for this role is for the First, Third and Fifth Tuesdays.

Responsibilities:

Greet and prepare patients for treatment

Chairside assisting during a variety of dental procedures

Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures

Provide post operative instructions and patient education

Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments

Maintain strict compliance to infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA

Maintain dental supply inventory

Perform other related job duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

Must have reliable transportation to travel between locations

Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

C.D.A. preferred

Strong verbal skills

Possess required certifications, licensure or registration as required by state
