We are seeking a highly skilled Staff iOS Engineer to join our dynamic software studio located in Toronto, Canada. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for motivating, managing, and inspiring a team of talented software engineers to deliver innovative mobile products. You will participate actively in hands-on development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications that enhance our customers' experience. You will work closely with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable iOS solutions.

As part of our team, you will contribute to projects like Credit Keeper, which allows users to monitor their credit scores, and Quick Check, providing pre-approval certainty for credit card applications.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in any field and have extensive experience in mobile application development. Specifically, you should have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. You should also have a proven track record of application design, technical architecture, and full-cycle development. Leadership experience is essential, including mentoring junior team members and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
Additional qualifications include strong knowledge of software engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and experience working with cloud platforms like AWS. Familiarity with open source frameworks, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture will be advantageous. A demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from conception to deployment, coupled with excellent communication skills, is vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the delivery of major components and platform requirements in collaboration with senior engineers and architects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Work as a key member of a dynamic mobile development team throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
- Drive improvements in software engineering practices by working within Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement innovative technical solutions across a broad technology stack.
- Contribute expertise on how evolving technologies impact the domain, providing strategic insights and technical guidance to team members and stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior, intermediate, and senior mobile engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mobile applications with backend services and APIs.
- Ensure the quality, performance, and security of mobile applications through rigorous testing and code reviews.
