About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Android Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical design, architecture, and development of our Android applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative mobile solutions that enhance our customer experience. This position requires a hands-on approach with advanced expertise in Android development, and it offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of our products. You will have the chance to motivate, manage, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in native Android application development using Java or Kotlin. You should have a strong background in application and data design, architecture, and development, with proven expertise in building scalable and maintainable mobile solutions. Experience with modern Android development tools and frameworks such as RxJava, Coroutines, Dagger, Espresso, JUnit, and Jenkins is essential. Additionally, candidates should hold a bachelor’s, master’s, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience mentoring junior team members and guiding technical stakeholders is highly valued. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Agile development methodologies will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities

• Own the technical design, architecture, and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate within a dynamic mobile team throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
• Enhance software engineering practices by working within agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across various development tools and technologies.
• Contribute expertise on how emerging technologies impact the domain, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile associates, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
