About the role
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer with strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM architecture to build and enhance high-performance native Android applications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric mobile experiences while contributing to architecture, testing, and overall code quality.
General Expectation
- Design and develop high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Implement scalable and maintainable architecture patterns such as MVVM
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code with strong focus on unit and UI testing
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams
- Ensure application performance, security, and responsiveness across Android devices
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to best practices, documentation, and development standards
What is needed
· 6–8 years of native Android development experience
· Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack, and Jetpack Compose
· Hands-on experience with MVVM architecture
· Experience with Unit Testing, UI Testing, and modular application development
· Strong understanding of Android SDK, lifecycle components, and REST APIs
· Knowledge of concurrency, threading, and performance optimization
· Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
Experience
· 6–8 years of hands-on experience in native Android application development
· Strong experience building production-grade mobile applications using Kotlin
· Proven expertise with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices
· Experience implementing MVVM architecture in scalable applications
· Hands-on experience with unit testing, UI testing, and modular architecture
· Experience integrating Android applications with RESTful APIs and backend services
· Exposure to Agile development environments and collaborative engineering teams
· Experience with performance optimization, debugging, and app security best practices
