About The Role
We are seeking a talented Staff iOS Engineer to join our dynamic software studio located in Toronto, Ontario. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in guiding and inspiring a team of software engineers dedicated to developing cutting-edge mobile applications. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of major components and platform needs, ensuring high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of our mobile banking solutions, including features such as Credit Keeper, Personal Information management, and Quick Check, which empower our customers to take control of their credit profiles.
As part of our team, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment. You will work closely with senior engineers, architects, and stakeholders to create scalable, secure, and user-centric applications. Our environment is cloud-first, utilizing open source frameworks, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerization to accelerate delivery and enhance functionality. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in any field and have at least six years of hands-on experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. Experience in mentoring junior and intermediate developers, as well as guiding technical and business stakeholders, is essential. You should be familiar with agile methodologies and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects.
  • Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle within a dynamic mobile team environment.
  • Enhance software engineering practices by designing, developing, testing, and supporting technical solutions across various development tools and technologies.
  • Provide technical expertise on how emerging technologies impact the domain and influence product development strategies.
  • Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile developers to foster growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of features.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, security, and performance across all mobile applications.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into the development process.
