About The Role
We are seeking a talented Staff iOS Engineer to join our vibrant software studio in Toronto. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in guiding and inspiring a team of talented software engineers to develop cutting-edge mobile applications that enhance our customer experience. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of major components and platform features, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in hands-on development while also providing mentorship and strategic direction to your team.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and extensive experience in iOS development. A bachelor’s degree in any field is required, along with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in developing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. You should have a comprehensive understanding of application design, technical architecture, and full-stack development processes. Proven experience in leading and mentoring junior and intermediate team members, as well as collaborating effectively with business stakeholders, is essential. You should demonstrate a passion for innovation, quality, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities

• Own and lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
• Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to testing and deployment, within a dynamic mobile team environment.
• Enhance software engineering practices by advocating agile methodologies, designing, developing, testing, and supporting technical solutions across various development tools and technologies.
• Provide technical expertise on how emerging technologies impact the domain, and incorporate best practices to improve system performance and scalability.
• Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, set priorities, and deliver high-quality mobile applications that meet user needs.
