Role summary

Antithesis is seeking a Contracts Review Attorney to manage day-to-day contract review and negotiation for commercial matters. This role focuses on enabling efficient business closure while mitigating legal and operational risks. The attorney will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide clear business guidance on legal issues, and enhance contract review systems and processes. Key responsibilities include reviewing/negotiating various agreements, identifying risks, improving templates and playbooks, and advising stakeholders on contracting best practices. The ideal candidate possesses a J.D., active bar membership, significant commercial contract experience, strong risk judgment, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

The role

Antithesis is looking for a Contracts Manager to help us move quickly and thoughtfully as we scale. In this role, you will own day-to-day contract review and negotiation across a wide range of commercial matters, with a particular focus on helping internal teams close business efficiently while managing legal and operational risk.

This is a practical, high-judgment role for someone who is comfortable working directly with cross-functional partners, translating legal issues into clear business guidance, and improving the systems and processes that support contract review at scale.

What you'll do

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor agreements, customer-facing agreements, and other operational contracts

  • Partner closely with sales, finance, and leadership teams to provide clear, actionable guidance during contract review

  • Identify legal, business, and operational risks in proposed agreements and recommend practical paths forward

  • Support all aspects of the Legal department as needed in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization.

  • Help maintain and improve contract templates, fallback language, playbooks, and internal review processes

  • Support contract intake and triage so requests are routed appropriately and handled efficiently

  • Advise internal stakeholders on approval requirements, escalation points, and contracting best practices

  • Track recurring issues in negotiations and help turn them into better standards, tools, and workflows

  • Contribute to the buildout of a legal function that is trusted, responsive, and business-minded

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of commercial transactions experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong judgment about risk, materiality, and when to escalate

  • Ability to explain contract issues in plain English to non-lawyers

  • Experience with Ironclad is a plus

  • Excellent drafting, issue-spotting, and negotiation skills

  • A highly organized working style and the ability to manage multiple matters at once

  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly

  • A service-oriented mindset and a bias toward solving problems, not just identifying them

You may be a great fit if

  • You like building structure where there is ambiguity

  • You care about helping teams move fast without cutting corners

  • You are equally comfortable redlining agreements and improving the process behind them

  • You know how to be precise without being rigid

  • You have a strong instinct for when a contract issue is routine, when it is strategic, and when it needs escalation

This role is fully onsite in Vienna, VA.
