Role summary

Authority is seeking a Treasury Advisor with current Canada market intelligence for a flexible, paid consulting engagement of up to 2 hours per month. The role involves providing written or recorded commentary on market developments, reviewing financial forecasts for accuracy (liquidity, cash forecasting, FX/interest-rate risk, banking relationships), and explaining practical implications. The advisor will contribute insights to Authority's content and potentially explore separate advisory opportunities. Requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, firsthand exposure to significant financial decisions, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly. This is a remote, independent consulting contract within Canada.

Authority is building an industry intelligence platform that combines expert insight with data to improve online news coverage and forecasts about business, financial and economic outcomes.

We are looking for a Treasury Advisor who is currently active in the Canada market and has up-to-date market intelligence. This is a flexible, paid consulting engagement of up to 2 hours per month.

What you will do

Provide concise written or recorded commentary on current developments, market shifts and likely business outcomes.
Review articles, reports and forecast assumptions for accuracy, especially in liquidity, cash forecasting, short-term funding, foreign-exchange and interest-rate risk, and banking relationships.
Explain the practical implications for companies, investors and decision-makers.
Contribute insight that may be featured in Authority content and major industry news outlets.
When relevant, consider separate market advisory opportunities with organizations in our client base.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Currently operating in the Canada market with up-to-date local market intelligence.
Firsthand exposure to important financial, commercial or investment decisions in this field.
Ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant experience.

Engagement details

Independent consulting contract.
Remote within the Canada.
Up to 2 paid consulting hours per month.
Flexible assignments, primarily short commentary and occasional calls.
Additional advisory work may be offered separately based on fit and client demand.
