Role summary

Captivation Software seeks a DevOps Engineer for a hybrid role supporting modernization efforts. Responsibilities include application deployment, software configuration, server management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting. The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship. A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in software development/engineering are required, with specific skills in Linux, AWS, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Git, and CI/CD. Description

Captivation Software has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to support modernization effort to converge the agency's authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools. Responsibilities will include: deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.

Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 3-4 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked. On average, the first team is paged for after-hours support approximately once every couple of months with most issues resolvable by phone.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis/resolution.

Master’s degree can be substituted for two (2) years experience

Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology

Benefits

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
