Role summary

Comfrt, a mental wellness company specializing in weighted comfort gear, seeks an Operations Lead for its retail spaces. This leadership role is the primary operational engine on the sales floor, responsible for daily execution, stock accuracy, and floor readiness. The Lead will coach associates to meet revenue targets, manage visual merchandising, oversee inventory flow, and create social media content. The position requires 3+ years of retail experience, proven coaching ability, high energy, comfort with social media, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. The role emphasizes a people-first selling style and a passion for mental wellness.

The Role:

You are the primary operational engine on the sales floor, driving daily execution, stock accuracy, and floor readiness while leading the team to meet and exceed revenue targets. In this high-visibility leadership role, you own real-time floor management, visual merchandising standards, and associate coaching to deliver a flawless operational environment and a world-class customer experience. We are currently offering $20-$22/hr based on experience!

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Floor Leadership & Real-Time Coaching

Active Floor Presence: Act as the primary lead on the sales floor, orchestrating team movements to ensure 100% guest coverage.

Instant Coaching: Provide constant "in-the-moment" feedback to associates. Catch the team doing things right and pivot missed opportunities immediately to drive KPIs (Conversion, UPT, and AOV).

People-first Expert: Model and train the team on the Comfrt selling style—approaching every customer as a peer rather than a transaction.

Visual Merchandising & Inventory Flow

Total Inventory Flow: Own the back-to-front product lifecycle. Ensure all shipments (including weighted gear up to 40 lbs) are processed and floor-ready within 24 hours.

Inventory Integrity: Oversee stockroom organization and inventory accuracy.

Replenishment Ownership: Manage daily replenishment to ensure the sales floor is never "gapped." Identify bestsellers and adjust displays to keep high-demand styles front and center.

Activations & Social Media

Social Content: Be the face of the store on camera! Assist the GM/ASM in creating daily, high-energy TikTok/Reels content to engage our online community.

In-Store Activations: Support the execution of "wellness drops" and in-store events, ensuring the team is hyped and the floor is prepared for high-traffic launches.

Qualifications:

3+ years of retail experience, preferably in a high-volume or "mall" environment.

Proven ability to coach and train others on selling skills.

High energy and a "bias for action"—you don't wait to be told to fix a display or help a customer.

Comfortable being on camera and engaging with social media trends.

Must be available for peak retail periods including Black Friday and the holiday season.
