Role summary

Cottonwood Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Toscana at Valley Ridge Apartments. This role involves performing a variety of repairs including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting. The technician must be able to handle physical demands, work flexible hours including weekends and on-call duties, and possess strong communication skills. Required certifications include EPA Type II or Universal, and a valid Driver's License. CPO certification is a plus. Qualifications & Required Experience of an Apartment Maintenance Technician

Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.

Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.

Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.

Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.

Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.

Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.

EPA certification Type II or Universal is required.

Considerable experience troubleshooting HVAC is required.

CPO certification is a plus.

Valid Driver's License is required.
