What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities and risks
• Monitor and analyze security threats and incidents, providing recommendations for remediation
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the technology infrastructure
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures
• Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience/skills in a relevant field
• Solid understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, SOC 2, and HITRUST
• Professional certification(s), e.g., Security+, CISSP, SSCP, etc.
• Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Strong knowledge of cloud-based systems, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with coding and various security technologies such as firewalls and anti-virus
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns, and trends
• Ability to communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in ethical hacking and simulating security breaches
